Simon Cherry, PhD is a Professor at UC Davis School of Medicine and a recognized researcher in the field of molecular imaging. Among his research interests, he is particularly interested in the development of new technologies and techniques for in vivo molecular imaging. He is author of Physics in Nuclear Medicine, 4th Edition.
Among his recognitions, Dr. Cherry is an elected fellow of the Institute of Physics, an elected fellow of the Institute of for Electrical and Electronics Engineers, an elected fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering, and holds Henry Wagner Lectureship from the Society for Nuclear Medicine. Dr. Cherry received the Distinguished Basic Science Award from the Academy of Molecular Imaging, and Outstanding Mid-Career Faculty Research Award from the College of Engineering at UC Davis.
