William D. Middleton, MD is a professor of Radiology within the Division of Diagnostic Radiology Abdominal Imaging Section at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He has particular interest in the areas of MRI, magnetic resonance imaging, sonography, and color doppler. He is an author of General & Vascular Ultrasound, 2nd Edition, part of the Case Review series.
Dr. Middleton holds a bachelor’s degree and MD from Duke University. He completed a residency at Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology and a fellowship in digital imaging at the Medical College of Wisconsin, and is board certified in radiology. Dr. Middleton was listed in Best Doctors in America for more than five years. He has held editorial appointments with the Journal of Clinical Ultrasound, Ultrasound Quarterly, and Abdominal Imaging.
