Wojciech Zareba, MD, PhD is a professor of medicine, director of cardiology clinical research, and director of the Heart Research Follow Up Program at the University of Rochester Medical Center. He has conducted significant research in the field of cardiology, with particular focus on ECG studies, sudden death, QT prolongation, and risk stratification. He is an editor of Electrophysiological Disorders of the Heart, 2nd Edition.
Dr. Zareba has authored or co-authored more than 350 publications addressing his research in the field and is member of the editorial boards of a number of leading cardiology-related journals. He is also active in numerous professional societies, and is past president of the International Society for Holter and Noninvasive Electrocardiology and a member of the board of the International Society of Electrocardiology. Dr. Zareba has been recognized for his work in the field with many honors and awards, including the gold medal of Polish Cardiac Society and the Del Mar Young Investigator Award for Pioneering Contributions to Medical Science Employing Holter Monitoring Technology.
