Andrew Horvai, MD, PhD, is an associate professor in the Department of Pathology at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. He is also associate director of Surgical Pathology and medical director of the Histopathology Laboratory. He is an author of the text Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology, a volume in the High Yield Pathology series.

Dr. Horvai has an MD from UC, San Diego Medical School, and completed a residency in pathology and fellowship in surgical pathology at UCSF. He is a leading researcher in the field, with focus on molecular pathogenesis of sarcomas, and diagnostic and prognostic tools in rare tumors.
