Aya Kamaya, MD, FSRU, FSAR is Associate Professor of Radiology and Director, Stanford Body Imaging Fellowship, Stanford University School of Medicine. She is a co-author of Diagnostic Ultrasound for Sonographers, Diagnostic Ultrasound: Abdomen And Pelvis, and Imaging Anatomy: Ultrasound.
Dr. Kamaya received her medical degree from University of Utah School of Medicine. After a residency at University of Michigan Health System, she performed a Body Imaging fellowship at Stanford University.
Dr. Kamaya serves on the ACR LI-RADS Steering Committee and is Chair of the ACR Ultrasound LI-RADS (Liver Imaging Reporting and Data System) Working Group. She has received multiple awards for teaching, research, and educational exhibits. Her research interests include hepatic imaging, hepatocellular carcinoma, novel ultrasound technologies, and perfusion CT imaging of abdominal tumors.
