Barbara A. Cockrill, MD is Clinical Director of the Pulmonary Vascular Disease Program, Pulmonary and Critical Care Unit at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston. She is a co-author of Principles of Pulmonary Medicine, 6th Edition.
Dr. Cockrill received her medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine, and performed her postgraduate work in internal medicine and pulmonary and critical care medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and the University of Washington. She is board certified in internal medicine, critical care medicine, and pulmonary disease.
Dr. Cockrill has received several teaching and course planning awards at Harvard. Her clinical interests include pulmonary hypertension and right heart failure.
