Daniel J. Berry, MD is a professor of Orthopedics, the Chair of the Orthopedic Surgery Department, and a Fellow in Adult Reconstructive Surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He is past-president of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

An American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons member since 1998, Dr. Berry previously served as vice president (2010) and second vice president (2009) of the Academy. He was president of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons and held leadership roles with the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, the Hip Society, and the Mid-America Orthopaedic Association.

A graduate of Dartmouth College and Harvard Medical School, Dr. Berry completed orthopaedic surgery residencies at Harvard, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Massachusetts General Hospital. He is the author or co-author of more than 100 medical publications, articles, and case reports, including Surgery of the Hip.
