Darwin Brown, MPH, PA-C, is an assistant professor in the Physician Assistant Program at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. He is a co-author of Physician Assistant: A Guide to Clinical Practice, 5th Edition.
Brown received degrees in medical technology and physician assistant at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He then went on to earn a Master of Public Health from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. In his current position as assistant professor, Brown was recently awarded the Silver U award by his colleagues, in recognition of his leadership and excellence at UNMC.
Brown’s primary teaching responsibilities include participation in all Physician Assistant-specific courses and coordinating all clinical year clerkships. His professional interests include physician assistant education and patient safety, and he has had numerous articles published in scholarly journals. Brown is affiliated with the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Physician Assistant Education Association, the Nebraska Academy of Physician Assistants, the Public Health Association of Nebraska, the Nebraska Coalition for Patient Safety, the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc., and OneWorld Community Health Center.
