Dinesh Chhetri, MD is Associate Professor-in-Residence, Department of Head and Neck Surgery, David Geffen School of Medicine; Director, UCLA Swallowing Disorders Program; Co-Director, Laryngology (Voice) program, UCLA. He is a co-author of Dysphagia Evaluation and Management in Otolaryngology.

 

Dr. Chhetri obtained his MD from UCLA School of Medicine, graduating with distinction for his thesis on vocal fold paralysis and laryngeal reinnervation. He remained at UCLA for his residency training in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, followed by a fellowship in Voice, Swallowing, and Airway Disorders.

 

Dr. Chhetri’s research has concentrated on neuromuscular control of the larynx and voice disorders. He is also certified in Transoral Robotic Surgery (TORS) for head and neck cancer. Dr. Chhetri is known nationally and internationally for his clinical and research contributions in the arenas of laryngeal physiology, voice, and swallowing disorders.
