Geert Buijze, MD, PhD is an Orthopaedic Surgeon at Academic Medical Center, Universiteit van Amsterdam, Netherlands. He is a co-author of Scaphoid Fractures: Evidence-Based Management.
Dr. Buijze received his medical degree from Leiden University, after which he performed a PhD research fellowship at Harvard Medical School. He received his PhD in Medicine from Universiteit van Amsterdam.
Dr. Buijze has received numerous awards and honors, including a European Wrist Arthroscopy Society (EWAS) Junior Grant, Mathijsen Award (Netherland’s Best Orthopaedic Publication 2015-2017), Federation for European Societies for Surgery of the Hand (FESSH) Travel Award, NVOT Science Award (Best Paper of the Netherlands Orthopaedic Trauma Association), and Partners in Excellence Award for Leadership and Innovation, Partners Healthcare, Teaching Affiliate of Harvard Medical School.
