Glenn M. Chertow, MD is Chief of Nephrology and Professor of Medicine at Stanford University Medical Center. His major medical research interests include clinical epidemiology, health services research, decision sciences, and clinical trials in acute and chronic kidney disease. He has been recognized as Mentor of the Year at Bay Area Clinical Research Symposium, received the National Torchbearer Award by the American Kidney Fund, and the STAR Award by UCSF Medical Center. Dr. Chertow has authored and co-authored more than 200 medical publications and is an editor of Brenner & Rector’s The Kidney, 9th Edition.
