Hussein Elkousy, MD is Attending Shoulder Surgeon, Fondren Orthopedic Group, Texas Orthopedic Hospital in Houston. He is a co-author of Gartsman’s Shoulder Arthroscopy, 3rd Edition.
Dr. Elkousy received his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine. After residencies in General Surgery and Orthopaedic Surgery, he performed a Sports Medicine and Shoulder Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He is board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine. He is also the team physician for Texas Southern University, and a consulting physician for the Houston Rockets.
Dr. Elkousy’s practice focuses on shoulder and knee surgery, with an additional attention to management of proximal hamstring tears.
