Juan Rosai, MD is an expert in surgical pathology, and is author of more than 400 scientific peer-reviewed papers on topics in the field. He is recognized as a leading mentor and teacher in this area, and is author of the two-volume set, Rosai and Ackerman’s Surgical Pathology, now in its 10th edition.
Dr. Rosai completed his residency and fellowship in anatomic pathology at Washington University School of Medicine and Barnes Hospital. His research has focused on a variety of subspecialties in the field, including Rosai-Dorfman disease, desmoplastic small round cell tumor, and sclerosing angiomatoid nodular transformation of the spleen. He has served on numerous editorial boards and has edited or co-edited more than a dozen books. Among his awards and recognitions, Dr. Rosai is a life trustee of the American Board of Pathology, an honorary member of the Royal College of Pathologists, a recipient of the distinguished pathologist award of the Council of the United States and Canada Academy of Pathology, a recipient of the Golden Medal Award of the International Academy of Pathology, and numerous others.
