Lana Chahine, MD is Assistant Professor of Neurology at University of Pittsburgh. She is the author of Disorders of Sleep and Wakefulness in Parkinson’s Disease.

 

Dr. Chahine earned her medical degree at the American University of Beirut and completed a neurology residency at Cleveland Clinic, where she was neurology co-chief resident. She then completed a movement disorders fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. In 2014, she earned a master’s degree in clinical epidemiology. She is board certified in Neurology and Sleep Medicine.

 

Dr. Chahine’s research interests include epidemiology and clinical/biomarker characterization of Parkinson’s disease and its prodrome, sleep abnormalities in Parkinson’s and prodromal Parkinson’s, and design and implementation of clinical trials for individuals with Parkinson’s and related disorders. She has published extensively on the motor functions, cognition, and genetics of persons with Parkinson’s disease.
