Michael Friedman, MD is Professor of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery and Director, Section of Sleep Medicine, Rush University Medical Center; Chairman of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center; and Medical Director, Chicago ENT. He is the author of Sleep Apnea and Snoring: Surgical and Non-Surgical Therapy, 2nd Edition.
Dr. Friedman earned his medical degree from University of Illinois, Chicago and performed a residency at Metro-Six University of Illinois, Chicago. He is a renowned otolaryngologist, thyroid and parathyroid surgeon, and sleep specialist.
Over the past 30 years, Dr. Friedman has trained many surgeons, fellows, residents, and medical students. He has published more than 200 scientific articles and has co-authored many book chapters and textbooks on snoring, sleep apnea, and thyroid and parathyroid surgery.
He is a member of numerous professional societies, is a frequent national and international lecturer, and has been featured on ABC, CBS, FOX, WGN-TV, and in national publications and journals.
