Saul Suster, MD is Professor and Chairman, Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. He is a co-author of Diagnostic Pathology: Thoracic, 2nd Edition.
Dr. Suster received his MD from Catholic University of Guayaquil School of Medicine, after which he performed fellowships in Electron Microscopy at University of Tel-Aviv Faculty of Life Sciences, Cancer Research Unit and in Research and Surgical Pathology at Yale University School of Medicine. Prior to his current position at Medical College of Wisconsin, he was Director of Surgical Pathology, Electron Microscopy and Immunohistochemistry Labs at Mount Sinai Medical Center of Greater Miami and Vice-Chairman and Director of Anatomic Pathology at Ohio State University College of Medicine.
Dr. Suster was recently named in U.S. News & World Report’s Top Doctors List for 2012-2013 and is among the top 1% of pathologists in the nation. Dr. Suster has also ranked for numerous consecutive years in Castle Connolly’s “America’s Top Doctors” and “America’s Top Doctors for Cancer”, as well as being listed in “Who’s Who in America.”
His research interests include characterization of tumors of the thoracic cavity including lung, mediastinal and pleural neoplasms; tumors of the thyroid gland and other endocrine organs; and pathology and biology of tumors of soft tissue and skin.
