T. Bradley Edwards, MD is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, University of Texas Health Sciences Center at Houston, and Orthopaedic Surgeon with Fondren Orthopaedic Group in Houston. He is a co-author of Shoulder Arthroplasty, 2nd Edition and Gartsman’s Shoulder Arthroscopy, 3rd Edition.
Dr. Edwards received his MD from Louisiana State University School of Medicine, after which he performed a fellowship in Shoulder Surgery and Sports Medicine. In addition to his professional appointments above, he is also Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Baylor University, and Clinical Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation at the University of Texas Medical Branch.
Dr. Edwards has served on the Board of Editors of Orthopedics and as a Consultant Reviewer for American Journal of Sports Medicine and Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research. His honors and awards include Patients’ Choice Award tabulated by MDx Medical, for several consecutive years; America’s Top Orthopedists and America’s Top Surgeons, selected by the Consumer’s Research Council of America; Best Doctors in America; and the Charles S. Neer Clinical Award, given by the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons.
In 2012, Dr. Edwards was named one of the 28 best shoulder surgeons in the country, as determined by peers and thought leaders in the field. “He is outstanding. He has a very broad practice, but is best known for arthroplasty and for his publications on reverse shoulder arthroplasty. He is a thoughtful scientist.”
