Angelica R. Putnam, MD is Associate Professor of Pathology, University of Utah School of Medicine, Division of Pediatric Pathology, Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. She is a co-author of Diagnostic Pathology: Pediatric Neoplasms, 2nd Edition.

 

Dr. Putnam received her medical training at the University of Utah School of Medicine, and completed an AP/CP residency and pediatric pathology fellowship at the University of Utah. She also performed a general surgical pathology fellowship at the University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Center. She is board certified in Anatomic, Clinical, and Pediatric Pathology.

 

Dr. Putnam devotes most of her time to surgical pathology and teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Special interests include pediatric vascular lesions, soft tissue tumors and sarcomas. She currently collaborates on several translational research projects with colleagues at the University Hospital and Huntsman Cancer Institute. Dr. Putnam also supports Primary Children’s Hospital specialty tumor boards. These specialty conferences involve a multidisciplinary team approach which includes surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, radiation oncologists, and pathologists. Dr. Putnam is currently the pathologist for the Solid Tumor and Vascular Groups.
