Antonella Tosti, MD is Fredric Brandt, MD Professor of Clinical Dermatology, University of Miami Health System in Miami, Florida. She is the author of Nail Disorders.

Dr. Tosti is a worldwide recognized expert in hair and nail disorders and contact dermatitis. She has lectured at major international conferences, including the annual meetings of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, and the American Academy of Dermatology. She has been interested in alopecia areata for more than 20 years and has dozens of publications dealing with diagnosis and treatment of this condition.

She is the author of the first hair and scalp dermoscopy atlas ever published, and she is editor of two textbooks on diagnosis and treatment of hair disorders and three textbooks on nail disorders. She is the main author of the chapter on nail disorders in several major textbooks and  is an expert in patch testing for diagnosis of contact allergy. Dr. Tosti is the author of nearly 700 scientific publications.

Dr. Tosti is member of numerous dermatological societies including the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Dermatological Association, the European Academy of Dermatology, the Women Dermatological Society, the North American Society for Contact Dermatitis and the International Society of Dermatology. She is a founding member and past president of The European Hair Research Society and has served on the board of directors of the North American Research Society.
