Claudine Isaacs, MD is Associate Professor of Medicine and Oncology at Lombardi Cancer Center, Georgetown University Medical Center, Washington, DC. She is a co-author of Hoffman and Abeloff’s Hematology-Oncology Review.
Dr. Isaacs earned her medical degree and completed residency training at McGill University. She completed fellowship training in the Division of Hematology and Oncology at McGill University and a Fellowship in Breast Medical Oncology in the Division of Medical Oncology at Georgetown University. She then joined the faculty in the Department of Medicine and Oncology at Georgetown University.
Dr. Isaacs is the Co-Director of the Georgetown University Breast Cancer Program. Her research interests include genetic testing, medical management, and prevention strategies for women at high risk for breast cancer. She also has an interest in clinical trials in early stage and metastatic breast cancer and has served as PI on a variety of cooperative group, pharmaceutical, and in-house clinical trials. She has been a long-term member of the Lombardi Cancer Center (LCC) Breast Cancer Program and the Medical Director of the Cancer and Assessment Risk Evaluation (CARE) of the LCC. Dr. Isaacs is the PI of the Cancer Genetics Network and the LCC PI of a number of cooperative group and pharmaceutical trials in early stage and metastatic disease.
