Linda S. Cox, MD is in private practice at Allergy and Asthma Center in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and is Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at University of Miami School of Medicine and Nova Southeastern University School of Osteopathic Medicine. She is the author of Immunotherapies for Allergic Disease.
Dr. Cox earned her MD from Northwestern University School of Medicine and completed post-graduate training in Allergy and Immunology at National Jewish Hospital in Denver and University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Cox is a past president of the Broward County Medical Association and of the Florida Allergy Asthma and Immunology Society. She has also served as chair of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology’s immunotherapy and allergy diagnostics committee and chair of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology’s immunotherapy and diagnostic committee. Dr. Cox chaired the AAAAI/ACAAI Task Force on Sublingual Immunotherapy and has been chair of the AAAAI’s Rhinitis, Sinusitis and Ocular Diseases (RSOD) Interest Section.
She has been named in Best Doctors in America numerous times, and has received multiple honors including Presidential Salute for Women in Medicine, Florida Medical Business; AAAAI Presidents Award for Outstanding Leadership; ACAAI Distinguished Service Award; ACAAI Woman in Allergy Award; Florida Academy of Physician Assistants’ Physician Recognition Award; Women’s Involvement in the AAAAI Special Recognition Award; and the Harold S. Nelson Lectureship at the 2014 AAAAI Annual Meeting.
