Nancy M. Khardori, MD, PhD, FACP, FIDSA is Professor, Division of Infectious Diseases and Department of Microbiology/Immunology and Molecular Cell Biology at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia; Medical Director, Infection Prevention Service,  the Bon Secours DePaul Medical Center in Norfolk; and Director, Antibiotic Stewardship Program at the Bon Secours DePaul Medical Center. She is the co-author of Future Management of Antibiotic-Resistant Infections.

Dr. Khardori received her medical degree from the Gov. Medical College in Srinagar, Kashmir, India, and a postgraduate degree in Microbiology and Immunology from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi. She completed a fellowship in Microbiology and Immunology at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, as well as a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.

Since 1986, Dr. Khardori has been involved in clinical infectious diseases practice; research and clinical microbiology laboratory work; teaching in microbiology/immunology, internal medicine, and infectious diseases; and infection prevention services/antibiotic stewardship programs at major teaching hospitals in the U.S. She has published original research and is a reviewer for several major national and international journals. Her publications include reviews, book chapters, and books including topics such as infectious diseases emergencies and bioterrorism.
