Dr. Kitchens received his MD from the University of Florida where he is currently an adjunct professor of hematology & oncology as well as a consultant for Florida Cancer Specialists. He is co-author of Consultative Hemostasis and Thrombosis.
Dr. Konkle received her MD from Vanderbilt University and is currently a hematology professor at the University of Washington as well as co-author of Consultative Hemostasis and Thrombosis, 3rd Edition.

Robert W Maitta, MD, PhD received his B.S. and M.A. in cell biology from The City College of New York. He then studied at the Medical Scientist Training Program at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine (AECOM) in New York where he received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Microbiology and Immunology. This was followed by his M.D degree, which he also received from AECOM. Dr. Maitta completed his residency in Clinical Pathology at Montefiore Medical Center in New York. His residency training was followed by completion of a fellowship in Transfusion Medicine from Yale University’s Yale New Haven Hospital. Dr. Silberstein earned his MD from the University of Leiden, The Netherlands and is currently a pathology professor at Harvard Medical School. He is also an editor of Hematology, 6th Edition.
Dr. Weitz is an award-winning hematologist and former Vice-President of Research for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. He is currently a professor at McMaster University and co-editor of Hematology: Basic Principles and Practices, 6th Edition.
