Dr. Friedman is an award-winning ophthalmologist and educator as well as an author of many texts, including Case Reviews in Ophthalmology. He is currently an ophthalmology professor at Stanford University School of Medicine.

Dr. Friedman is a professor at Harvard Medical School and Tufts University School of Medicine as well as Assistant Chief of Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. He is author of The Handbook of Liver Disease.

Dr. Furman received his MD from Temple University Medical School where he is currently a clinical assistant professor of physical medicine and rehabilitation. He is also author of the Atlas of Image-Guided Spinal Procedures.
